Second.
Go XFX if you want a 5770. It's got a lifetime warranty compared to the 2 years that those cards offer.
thx

2nd card.
Then again, life time warranty....
I just rebuilt, and fooked up and ordered the 5750 Vapor X, thinking I was ordering the 5770 Vapor X.
I had been trying to flash the bios thinking I had the 5770 with the wrong bios. Glad I figured it out before I flashed it incorrectly.
You are aware of the bios with the Sapphire card, right?
I know this has nothing to do with your OP, but the 5750 seems to be a damn good card so far. Just wish I had ordered what I wanted (5770 Vapor X) in the first place.
My mistake, but I'll live with it.
I don't think you'll be disappointed no matter the brand..

...wait what?
EE (hats
Seems Sapphire released a batch of 5770 cards with only 720 shaders, when it's supposed to have 800. There's a bios fix for it. Sapphires info about it I don't think it'll let me direct link to it, just input "product type = graphic card" "product interface = pci e" "product series = Sapphire HD 5700 series" product name "Sapphire Vapor X HD5770 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E" then your OS, I'm on Win 7 64bit.blademaster wrote:

Under the bios section, the first file is the powerpoint presentation on how to fix it. And the second file to download is the actual correct bios update.
Here's the best tech thread I've found on it. http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=111147
The route/fix I was going to use was on page 4 Post 81.
It was my own ignorance that I thought I bought the 5770, when in fact I got the 5750. I guess in my excitement, constant reading up on different cards, etc etc, I simply ordered the wrong card.
The only reason I didn't get it flashed.... ATIFlash.exe When I kept trying to install it with Win 7, it kept barking at me saying it wasn't a valid 32bit/64bit application. I'm just glad I didn't get the bios flashed because of my stupidity/oversight.
Good luck with whatever card you decide on.
Edit = blademaster, I just realized the "Sapphire" card you linked to isn't the Vapor-X. Damn I need my eyes/head checked, I've been doing crazy shit like that as of late, ie: ordering the wrong video card....
Anyway, I was thinking you linked to the Vapor-X. This is the card I intended to order. I'm not sure if the card you linked to is affected by the wrong bios. I would read up on it more, but I have to start getting ready for work. Even if the second one you linked to is affected, it should be an easy fix. I also meant to mention the bios fix will NOT void the warranty per Sapphires website.
My apologies if I've confused you. I continue to confuse myself
