Looking to buy some speakers off there.

They're offering around 44% off retail price. The ones I'm looking at are £45 opposed to £80-£90 on other sites.

I can't find a returns policy and when I try to register the 'middle name' field is mandatory (what if I didn't have a middle name).

Opinions please!

I'm gonna say no, don't use it.

the prices are too cheap and any place like that that doesn't have a phone number I don't trust.

Awesome, thanks. Yeah I wasn't sure but I knew there would be a clever way of confirming.

For all you would be stalkers:

But seriously, is WHOIS wrong?  Doesn't seem to be the type of person to be running a scam site for UK customers, based in Texas?

Probably someone just used her myspace info to create a scam site using a free godaddy domain offer.

Seems legit. You can tell by the well-written company statement and proper use of punctuation on the front page.

The front page has multiple punctuation errors. A lot of the sentences don't even have periods. Looks like maybe a copy paste job.

as a matter of fact, i googled one of the sentences and found multiple sites with the same set up lol.

Alas, how could I have been so careless as to overlook such obvious errors in grammar and punctuation?

according to their site they are members of:

RETRA - the Radio, Electrical & Television Retailers Association

EURONICS - The UK's largest electrical buying group

Whatever the fu*k that means....

One way to check or be covered would be do they have payment through paypal or using what kind of secure payment methods?

Nah not legit at all.

A few ways to check: When signing in or on a page where you're supplying credit card details, it'll have an HTTPS, the S standing for secure.

Check out some other legit sites, for example Ebuyer. They've got all sorts of badges at the bottom of the page saying they're legit.

https://i47.tinypic.com/dzfjmu.png

When you click them they take you to the site the badge is verifed from, look out for sites that when you click their "legit" badges, it takes you to a site that redirects you to the proper link.

But all in all, if you're not sure, don't buy anything.

EDIT: I just had a wee look through the site, it infact does have an HTTPS when signing in. Aparently this isn't a way of identifying trusted sites anymore..

getting a certificate is just overhead now. and being secure just means they can rip you off without being interrupted.

Yeah it's not a 100% thing, but most unlegit sites don't bother trying. If there IS a badge, there's a good chance it's legit. But if there's no badge, then it's almost definately NOT legit.

The s for secure just means the connection is secure/encrypted. You can have a secure connection to a fraudster, or it could be a fake/expired/copied certificate.

If you click the padlock symbol, it will give you details of who the certificate was issued to and for what purpose, domain etc.
