That's only in store though so you have to have a Microcenter close by (which I do).

It's the sign "greater than". To use it correctly, I would have had to say "five memers from their forums (who had to have posts>500)", but on the internet, it basically means more than, so "(who had to have more than 500 posts)"

If money is no issue, (here's a tissue lol) get the i7, but I suppose the i5 is better bang/buck.

And as finray's graph shows very minimal difference in gaming performance. If you plan on doing a bunch of encoding then yeah the i7 wins but gaming is very negligible.

But they're all like that, Photoshop rendering, Vegas rendering... afair the only thing that shows is 3Dmark or something, which shows raw power good but doesn't matter if nothing can use it...jsnipy wrote:

well obviously it doesn't make a difference with apps that don't actually need all that much CPU power. For FC2 a i3, C2Q and even a C2D would have performed pretty much the same

oh ffs. The 920 is still vastly faster than a 750.
If all you play is solitaire a HD5870 won't give you any advantage over an onboard GPU. Doesn't make the onboard better than the 5870 just because it's cheaper.

I'm not saying the 920 isn't faster it's just not vastly faster unless the program you use can take advantage of the HT which as far as I know most games will not which is what the majority here use their pc for. and the price difference isn't just in the processor but in the motherboard and RAM as well.
