You can jump and shoot in BC2, BF2 not so much.

W makes you move forward and Ascend, S Descends. In order to move forward in bf2 you'd have to point the chopper's nose a little to the ground and to go back point tail instead of nose.Finray wrote:

Also finray the controls are differen
S decreases throttle / downward thrust
A turns body left
D turns body right
Up arrow / mouse up dips nose
Down arrow / mouse down lifts nose
Left arrow / mouse left rolls left
Right arrow / mouse right rolls right
I don't see what's different?
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
If it makes you go forwards - at all - then it's not enough to be noted, as I have never noticed it.War Man wrote:

I think people are mistaking... Because holding W makes it go straight up..Finray wrote:

People seem to forget that the pilot in a gunship doesn't look forward, down.. he looks straight forward.. so in order for you to see where you are flying you have to look forward, tilting the nose of the copter down, thus making you fly forwards,, and in these peoples case, they don't consider that...
same goes for when you fire rockets, you have to point the chopper down to deliver a salvoe, making you move forwards rapidly...

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
well it's still a pretty bad game
Ok the destructible environment just looks retarded.
Things fall down and destroyed way too easily. It also look like everything was built by 3 year olds playing with giant blocks and getting knocked down by a strong breeze. Fences exploding by shooting it with small arms is ridiculous. I love the idea of destructible environments, but this has just been done so poorly.
If you want any idea of what it should look like, take a good look at Stalingrad and Berlin after WW2. Both cities sustained months of bombing and warfare, and although most places were FUBAR their basic structures still stood.

That's not the point of this game, they want it to fall down.DrunkFace wrote:

Secondly, that vid shows the end of buildings falling, it takes a hell of a lot of 40mm grenades to knock down a house, longer than that entire vid.

The whole movement feels like a console. It's so static and boring. They should bring back proning and add in leaning. That would be fun!
I actually don´t miss prone. After some getting used to, I can see why they left it out. I miss a toggle crouch option though, sniping does kill my pinky...aimless wrote:

this isn't mw2 where you can cross a map in fifteen seconds, and do a 720 while getting three headshots. bf has never had lean and in such a busy, objectfilled environment prone would be horrid.aimless wrote:

I don´t even see the point in leaning in this game. Every corner you would lean around gets blown off anyway.Spark wrote:

I think I've read on combat testing that there will be a toggle crouch and toggle aim down the sight option.Sisco10 wrote:

But true, its forbidden to divulge informations from combattesting, but this was just a hearsay that someone mentioned. Apparently they added those options to PS3 beta or something like that.

He also mentioned MW2 about 50 times too much in a BC2 video.
HRRRRRM! there are these ...buildings...quadbike? and plus the fact youre only able to place all the c4s if the defending team isn't DEFENDING wich clearly you have a problem with so stfu , although , its kinda funny , they should remove UAV killing M-COM:Pjmsprovan wrote:
Letting C4 destroy the MCOMs was the worst idea ever, noone ever bothers arming them now. Its just Quadbike, speed to MCOM, C4, Explode - every match now.
It gets old fast
UAV's and Quadbikes are easy to shoot down, especially UAV's. The only MCOM that can be properly Jihad-Quadded is the first MCOM-B I think. Even then it's like, in a big ditch.
I hate going for that particular MCOM, it's so exposed

Yeah, I say keep in the Jihad for that very reason.Mekstizzle wrote:

It makes it possible to destroy exposed MCOMs like that one.
All the other MCOMs have some sort of structure around them, so the attackers can take cover and defend it once they have the charge on it.
Also best strategy evar-
Go Recon, use the shotguns or M1A1 and be sure to have the extra explosives spec.
Target an MCOM
Plant all 6 of your C4s on the MCOM
Arm the MCOM
hide
Wait until the MCOM is disarmed
Detonate the C4, killing the defenders and the MCOM.
Get >500 points at once.
