The war between the U.S., MEC, and the Chinese is escalating. In the SF map "Ghost Town," the Russian convoy was destroyed by an unknown force - the force was actually British. The Spetsnaz were dispatched and the Brits DID capture highly sensitive material before the Spets could retrieve it. The Russians were put into a vulnerable position; thus allowing the peace-treaty that the EU uses to launch it's attack into China to support U.S. forces (Great Wall [EF]). However, this is still a Russian feint: they know the Chinese will fall to the highly successful U.S. campaign in the People's Republic. The MEC front, however, is very dynamic: the U.S. has lost some battles: Kubra Dam was lost: The Saudis used the momentum from that victory to push on and cut off the Americans bringing the mission SMOKESCREEN: That mission failed. We've come to this point: A crumbling Chinese war-machine and a bogged down Euro Forces and American forces. The Russians (in the upcoming Armored Fury release) completely ignore the treaty and allow the MEC to launch its forces into Alaska - thus beginning the invasion of the US. With American forces tied down in the Middle East and especially China - the MEC invades the country easily. A defensive force is quickly scrambled...and fails. An insurrection rages on, a new government is placed...and here comes, some years later, the battles of BF2142: The world has changed both in climate and in the power of nations, the fall of the U.S., the EU and other nations is all taking place in BF2: It's quite dramatic.
