Adding Fonts ??

I use a basic graphic program for simple things and it has limited number of different fonts and I use Microsoft Word which also has a limited amount of fonts. There are numerous sites out there that offer free fonts such as : Fontspace --- I havn't done anything yet but once I download a font that I like and extract that file ... what then

I have extracted files in the past but I'm not sure on how to get them to work. They sit in either my temp folder or on my desktop but I don't know how to get them move to either my graphic program or word so I can use that font.

Control Panel --> Fonts

Drag and drop the .ttf file to the fonts folder

Restart Word/etc

Actually I think vista (dunno bout 7/XP) has a right click option on it (right click on a font file and there's an "install font" button").

Mod hax beat me to the answer..

On Vista/Windows 7 you can right click the .ttf file and click install.
