I think too many are prepared for some fast-paced battles rather than slow tension and buildup.Poseidon wrote:

Princess and the Frog. It was alright/10
Saw it with the girlfriend. It wasn't a case of being talked into it, since I love Disney's old films like the Lion King and Aladin (I mean, who doesn't?), and I was happy to go along to see if their return to actual handdrawn animation (IE not a crappy me-too CG film) was any good or not.
It was alright. It definitely followed a formula but it's to be expected I guess. Full of songs, all of which are forgettable. Nice to see good old animation again. Hopefully others will follow in reducing the number of quick, cheap, terrible GC films out there and actually start putting effort into them again.

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
shoot if this was BF2, the sniper team would of been carty'd, c-4ed, road killed, or countered snipe. I had to watch the scene and now i know they won't die in this scene.steelie34 wrote:

Pretty boring, terrible effects. Definitely B movie quality. Thankfully I was doing a few other things in the background or else I wouldnt have watched it throughout.

Cicatrices ( scars ) 8.5/10

wow, i saw Fireproof about 2 months ago and I thought it was a pretty good movie about couple having marital problems.
but Cicatrices was an excellent movie with the same idea but it was much better thought out even when it seemed it was created with low budget.

The Boondock Saints II - 9/10
I was really doubtful that this movie would be any good at all for the longest time since it came out a decade after the first, fantastic movie. Thankfully, the movie had the same type of action and humour as the first, as well as returning characters. Definitely a worthy sequel to the original, though not quite as good. The ending was the best part of this movie... I couldnt believe it and then I was so pumped for it afterwards. This is one of the rare movies that they did a good job of making a sequel, definitely worth seeing if you liked the first one.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
They build up for a another sequel
Plus, it was filmed where I lived last year!

Lots of dark humor, generally creepy scenes and a pretty original story. I wanted to see it in theatres but my ex refused lol

Why the hell did Memento guy and Ralph Fiennes die within the first 5 minutes of their appearance lol?
And what kind of batshit crazy do you have to be to do that kind of job? Seriously?!
Zombieland
8.5/10
This movie borrows alot from the book The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing. I am a fan of Woody Harrelson so that was a plus as well. The film also features a pretty cool cameo by Bill Murray . If you even remotely like zombie flicks you'll appreciate Zombieland.

Resident Evil: Extinction (Third Resi film)
What on earth did I just watch.
???/10
They're not even trying anymore are they? I don't recall the entire world being dead, Wesker being about 40, a Jedi, Las Vegas or a tyrant who can speak coherent english when it suits him in my Resident Evil games.
I mean what was that. There was of course the token 'bitten but doesnt tell anybody' guy. There was a zombie who can tear up floorboards by roaring. There was a clone army of milla jovoviches. Milla Jovovich was a Jedi..
What really made me laugh was the way that the entire world had been infected. Everybody is a zombie. And how did the last few survivors in the Umbrella facility manage to keep all the zombies out? A fence. A fence. If only some of the other 6 billion people on the planet had thought of building a fence!
Oh well. It passed the time.
