Pheripals - Did I spell that correctly?? anyway...
EDIT: Argh, didn't ~ Peripherals

I have some Birthday money I need to spend and I can't make a decision, I can get two out of the three below items, please help me decide which...

G15 v2
https://www.hardware.info/images/news/vernieuwdeg15_550.jpg
My current Media Keyboard Elite is doing well (albeit needing some cleaning), but doesn't have any macro features, and I like the back-lit keys and display possibilities of the G15

G500
https://www.logitech.com/repository/2089/png/15994.1.0.png
My current MX518 is still in working order and is probably my 4-5th mx518 since I have worn them out in a year or so, but again, I like the features of the G500. Weights (I like it heavy), more buttons DPI etc. and It would be a nice companion for item number three.

Steelpad SX
https://www.ksol.pl/images/products/podkadki-pod-myszk/steelpad_sx_0.jpg
My current QcK+ is doing fine, but I hate the fact that it gets so dirty and is impossible to properly clean since it is cloth, it will however go in my bag with my laptop if I replace it. And the Aluminium pad would theoretically last forever...

Part of me is leaning towards the tech, but then again. Some people feel their old mice come alive when they get a proper surface. and I like my stuff good looking and of high quality and a good feel to it.. I considered the Razer Lycosa Mirror SE since it looks so nice, but it is more expensive than a G15v2 and the latter has far better specs...

Come on guys, I can't decide... post factual statements to help convince me... If I am not convinced I might have to get all three or something...
pretty please

But it is dirty as f**k, and you can't properly clean it since the dirt is worn into the pores of the cloth...

But I follow you.. hmm.. Aluminium would be cold aswell

Razer Destructor. Unless you need some obscenely huge pad, its great.

https://img683.imageshack.us/img683/5964/destructorwlach.jpg

Has cloth type stuff on the bottom so it never slips, and is smooth/hard on the top so it doesnt get dirty.

I use an MX-518 myself, so cant really recommend against it :p

Key quality of the v1 G15 was no better than the the media elite, I'm assuming the v2 is just the same so I wouldn't bother with that, just get some macro software and a desk lamp instead

The MX518 is still an epic mouse and if it's still running fine I can't see a point in replacing it.

So that leaves the mouse pad, and I fucking hate cloth pads so you can probably tell I'd get the SX.  I had a Steelseries S&S Steelpad for aaaaaaaaaaaaages, my bros cloth steelseries pad had worn a hole through so I gave it to him, mine was older and still as it was on day one and he's even commented on how much nicer it is to lose all the friction cloth pads cause.  I've got a Razer Destructor now, TBH I miss my old SnS, felt more precise somehow, probably just what I was used to

Hmm, my QcK+ doesn't noticably wear down, and I like my mice heavy, so I probably won't notice a big difference in friction..

And it HAS to be a metal surface, not polycarbonate / plastics

The Destructor is only ~€10 cheaper than the steelpad, and something about the destructor turned me down earlier today (can't remember what now)

Darnit,, I was just about to place an order for the G15 & G500 but now I'm in doubt again

Get the destructor. I am obsessed with how my mice "glide" on the mouse pad. I have tried a very large number of mouse pads, and I like the destructor by far the best in terms in this aspect.
I have tested an MX518, a G5, a G9, a diamondback, a deathadder and an Intelli Mouse. All worked great, especially those with bigger pads on the bottom like the Deathadder, G5 and G9
Also-
1) The "sparkles" refract the light from the mouses sensors making it track better (kinda gimmiky but I do notice a difference) Visibly, the sparkles ares not super noticeable, just kind of a cool effect.
2) It comes with a SWHEEET carrying case.

BUY ME!

Do you have a store you can go experience the mouse feel in? Or do you already know you like the feel of the G5 design?

If you like the way the mouse and keyboard look and feel, go for it, you'll be happy with your purchase.

BUT GET THE DESTRUCTOR FOR THE MOUSE PAD

K, enjoy not being able to control your computer from the other side of the room, I'll be over here watching movies from my bed.

Also lol @ karma, I've changed my batteries twice in this mouse. In three years.

I won't.... which is why I don't need a wireless mouse.. If I needed something to control my PC from the other side of the room I would use my Windows Media Centre remote control kthx...

Tried the 1st and 2nd (mates had them) and they seem okay but somewhat fragile and annoying when they wear out

how can you wear out a mouse in a year? are you trying to kill flies with it by throwing it at them?

I use it ~5-8 hours every day playing mostly FPS...

after ~1 year the Mouse1 key starts malfunctioning by not beeing able to "hold" the key down and randomly letting go by itself, I've had the same problem with all the mx518's I've had so it is obviously wear and tear.. good thing there is a 3 year warranty so I just go to the store and get a new one...

No I never even hit my mouse when I lose in CS:S

After ~1 year the Mouse1 key didn't start malfunctioning by not being able to "hold" the key down and randomly letting go by itself, I've had the same problem with other mice I've had so it's obvious they're just not as good as the Intelli Mouse.. Good thing there is a 3 year warrenty, but I don't even need it because this mouse is so awesome.

I beat the shit out of my mouse all the time and it keeps coming back for more, like a closet S&M ex-girlfriend.
