I miss the rucks in basic training. In a few months i leave for texas to do 68w (medic) training. Then i hook up with 121st HHC Inf unit and soon after words get shipped out. I don't care enough to prove myself to you...Pochsy wrote:
I note that Nexus looks like he is 12, has posted pictures from a highschool cafeteria, and is likely a wanna-be soldier. You don't "miss the days"of rucking in the military," you long for them.
One picture will shut me up.
Drove. Sure it's the pussy way back but i didn't feel like walking another 25+ miles.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

I do I like to push myself. We only had like 25-30 pounds of random gear. It wasn't hard. Just long and boring.JohnG@lt wrote:

Well, hopefully you learn the Art of Sham while you're down at Sam Houston or you're in for a rude awakening when you get to your unit.NeXuS wrote:

I'd be impressed if you got 2 days worth of food, tents, sleeping bag, cooker etc into 10kg.-Sh1fty- wrote:
It's actually 77 miles.

@ my average pace 6km/h (I would say 7 but uphill would be like 5-6 so it's an average) I could do the course in 20 hours. Make that two ten hour days with 5 minute breaks every 2 hours and I think it's quite feasible with a 10kg backpack.
