Most of my games look a lot better. I have one problem I get really poor frame rates on TF2. On my old card TF2 worked pretty nicely I've stuck AA up to 4x and just put reflect all on the water. I was playing on gold-rush with about 5 other people shit was skipping everywhere any ideas?

I've had similar shit with other source games after changing gfx card. I just did a nice clean removal of all old drivers, bunged the latest ones on, and updated DX to the newest one (Aug 09 I think was the last one, for dx9 anyway, I was still on seXPee back then).

Oh I still kept the same resolution. I did remember removing the old drivers and installing the new ones in.
When I first played TF2 it worked alright but it would stutter when I died. I was messing about with the fan settings on overdrive to try and cut down the noise. That seemed to render the frame rate unplayable. So I actually reset the graohics card settings to default. Still played like crap. Then I used the auto tune feature still nothing.

there was a brief period where everyone stuttered when they died (started 2-3 weeks ago). They screwed up an update. A file was being written to the HD too often.wah1188 wrote:

that problem is now fixed since last week I think.
