Im always used to the controls like in BF Vietnam and 1942 with the planes, but can i change that in bf2? ive been trying but it didnt work. it would always say Duplicate key found or something, any ideas?

It tells you where the duplicate key is. and explain more. make sure you are under the aircraft control section. Make sure you are erasing the other keys... what control do you want?
look at the config you use for BF1942, then apply it to BF2

but seriously, check the config you use, then adapt it to work for BF2
but seriously stryyker is right... and where is the DAMN bf1942 music when u want it! FFS. its one aspect of the game EA could have made good.
