What do you guys think of this idea? What sort of limitations would you add to avoid lame exploiting, such as a limit on the number of times it can be done in one life or something like that...

Many times I have wanted to.
Great idea, but probably won't ever happen. *Sniffle*
That sound like a pretty good idea, i like it
sounds like a good idea.
i think this is a great idea and have thought about it before, no drawbacks come to mind (since i dont have to code it)
It would defenatly help against armor trains, since I like playing as support, I won't have to die to switch kits.
would be rather nice
I think it's a good idea, but could be the biggest spawn camping exploit ever. I think the limitation should be something like the crate can only carry 10 of each kit.
I'm for it, would allow you to adapt to situations on the fly, also give the commander another way to help out his team. no problems with it as far as I can see.
no bad
I like the idea myself but I play infantry as much as possible.
It would be hell on armour though - think of it, an entire squad could become AT, fire six rockets at once; bingo, no tank/AFV. Then they switch back to their preferred kits and back to work on infantry.
Wow, think of what this would mean to Karkand... the armour would potentially be next to useless. I so like the sound of that!

he is right. this supply box thing can cause some serious unbalanceness.
e.g. bunch of people see the heli flying around and they all change to PKM -> heli down in 2 sec
so yea, although this is pretty good idea, i doubt this will happen because of it unbalancing vehicles
Armour is weak enough thank you very much!
i like it.
you should only be able to change once per supply crate though and each crate should only have one of each kit. so as soon as one person switches to AT, that kit is used up and no one else can switch to it. i think that would help the imbalancing issue.
it could be done like this: you press your use (enter/exit vehicle) key and the kit selection menu comes up. you choose your kit, drop your old kit, and pick up the new one.

It would be cool if the commander can choose a set amount of kits the crate can supply. I think 3 or 4 would be a decent number.
So they could select 3 medic kits or 1 AT and 2 spec ops, ect ect, depending on whats needed/requested. Each person that swapped a kit would grant the commander a team point. It would certainly add some more commander interactivity.

It is a bad idea. It is so, because people will then not have to think as much about their kit selection.
So people can become whatever kit they prefer, then switch to AT, then back.
If you see someones kit, there is no reason you can't grab it, and if you can't, deal with it.

They would have to limit it alot as to not cause kit spamming.
By the time you get to choose the desired kit for yourself, you are already dead.PRiMACORD wrote:

And it's going to be a BIGGER target for enemy commander to fire artillery near the supply crate. LOL I just can't stop laughing when thinking the supply crate as a cheese box; infantry as mice and the enemy commander as the exterminator.
Good idea.
I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to program it in.
How about: When the supply crate drops it also drops 1 of each kit per side (no unlocks)? That would be kinda useful.

Hhmm. It would be awesome but seriously, Oh dear a tank. "requesting supply drop over here sir!" *supply falls* *a 4 person sqaud all become AT* "boom! boom! boom! boom!" *gets normal kit again*
It could just pop out the 3 kits when it lands, just like someone drops a kit when you kill them...so you just go over it and pick it upDarkNova wrote:

You can tell which kit is which by the symbols on them...
Good idea.
Sometimes I wish that we could swap kits amongst either other. Whenever I see a downed team medic I don't mind switching to his kit and reviving him/her and surrounding dead teamates. But I end up stuck with the medic kit which is all fine and dandy but I wouldn't mind having the previous kit back. Pretty sure the guy that I revive with his kit wouldn't mind having his kit back also. I think this option would benefit both ways.
Swaping kits with a supply crate would also be nice too though.
