this , and yes been killed in jet by tank sometimes aswell , not that hard in 1.5 to be honest

I shot down a jet with a tank once on Wake Island, where many pilots seem to do their bombing runs along the rim of the atoll, and not perpendicular to it.
I was driving up the ramp of a bridge so I could reach it with the cannon.

head-on or random shot when you were flying around?  if it's head-on, then you did your bombing wrong.

its often a mix of them both , me already dropped bombs and not killed the tank so i do another strak with mg and aa missiles( if i have some to spare) and tankdriver gets a lucky shot just before i pull up

Tanks?  Real pr0s shoot down planes with the .50 when it's not heading straight for you.  The truly 1337 do that twice to the same guy in a round.

i come in at a pretty steep angle when bombing... they have no chance of getting a head on shot.  btw, im pretty sure guns are ineffective against tanks. 

They do damage tanks, however the amount is rather small, 3 or 4 bars per strafing run is what I lose when I'm getting gunned down in armor.

oh boy you havent seen me fly and if you hit between the turret and wagon (and does it right) the damage is brutal , but thats kinda hard to line up , but I tend to go for the tracks and then finish them off with an aa

Well, oddly enough I have HIT a plane, it was with a T90 on Gulf of Oman, where the SU's bomb the coastal flags. Hit them with antitanks and noobtoobers as well, however it's not a one-shot kill, sadly. Still you need to have a lot of luck. However, servers where baserape is allowed and on certain maps, you can easally use a tank to shoot the jets off a carrier.

My favorite shot I have made:

I was aiming for the PLA chopper coming out of the valley on Dalian, what I didn't see was the J-10 making an almost vertical bombing run on Main Entrance flag.  I took the shot at the chopper and ended up killing the J-10 before I even knew what had happened...then I loled at that random kill.

I've killed one jet and one helo (both in 1.41). Jet was a noob pilot on Daqing at the gas station. Chopper was on wake while he was trying to kill my squad.

Whenever jet pilots get cocky they get a tank shell or a tv missile right in the face.  If I even think someone is trying to target me then I will come at an angle impossible to aim at.
