Settlers II - Next Generation. Man, I played the original when I was in fifth grade.
Start up your favorite album, lean back into your chair and just watch them little guys florish. Nice change of pace.
nice, ive still got settlers I, i like settlers its a slightly less difficult game than things like Caesar and pharaoh, those games you really have to keep on top of everything otherwise your productive city can turn into a ghost town in minutes, only requires several hundred plebs to leave and your food stocks dwindle, your trade good production slows down which in turn pisses off more people and the cycle continues till u got shit all and pretty much have to load.
Yeah, that´s why I never stayed with those kinda games for long. I tried Anno a few times, but even the basic economy was difficult so I gave up on it.Vilham wrote:

Settlers though has no politics, clear production cycles, slow pace. It´s just nice gaming.
It´s the first time I played the No II remake and I have to say, apart form the nostalgia, I prefer Settlers III. The path system, despite its improvements is just clumsy and outdated.
Nevertheless, it eats time like any other Settlers game does.
