brazil will always be compared with the best movies of the sci-fi-genre (2001: a space odyssey, blade runner and, well, metropolis). this, plus the fact that it reminds me too much of 1984 makes it only a 7,5 (maybe an 8 after thinking about it )

barton fink is probably the most consistent coen-movie. but since there's quite a lot of movies i like better than this one, it's 8,5 (or 9)
