Inspired by the stadia thread in the 'Sports' section I invite all to post there top five favourite man-made structures.

The Arena, Verona:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/3/36/DSCF1887.jpg/800px-DSCF1887.jpg
Not the most impressive building - but watching opera in a proper Roman ampitheatre is a bit special.

Natural History Museum, London:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c1/Natural_History_Museum_London_Jan_2006.jpg/800px-Natural_History_Museum_London_Jan_2006.jpg
There's something I've always liked about it since I was a kid. I got so excited when I had my office Christmas party there this year (huge bar with free champagne all around the Diplodocus in the entrance hall - awesome).

Palace of Westminster:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/48/Westminster_palace.jpg/800px-Westminster_palace.jpg
I see it so much I almost forget how awesome it is.

Venice (all of it)

And my favourite castle - Bodiam:

Not by any means the buildings I think are the best - but favourites nonetheless.

From personal visits, I'd say:

St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican. I leave you with a painting, pictures do it no justice. You just have to experience it. Simply amazing.

Pantheon, Rome. Amazing architecture from from year ~100. The way the sun shines through the roof is awesome, the dimensions are staggering.

Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, Madrid. Had the chance to see bullfighting there, experience of a life-time. Brilliant.

Coloseum, Rome. Lots of Italy here, but damn, can't leave this thing out of it.

Sistine Chapel, Vatican. Gah, more Italy. Oh well, I love the country.

Lots of fail links in this thread.

Though slightly biased, I really like the elegant simplicity of the Yale Bowl.

In no specific order:

The Pyramids - Giza, Egypt. They seem simple but for the time, for them to have been constructed so precisely is INCREDIBLE.

Il Duomo - Florence, Italy.

Sydney Opera House
A truly unique design using ground breaking and innovative engineering when built. From what I hear not the best acoustics for an opera house, but it's location makes up for it, and in 2008 there was a proposal for a major reconstruction of the opera theatres to bring them up to world class standard.
Also the only building to receive world heritage listing while the Architect was still alive, and listed as one of the 'Eighth Wonder of the World' by many.

St. Peter's Basilica
Grand on a whole new scale. The outside architecture while still impressive, falls short of the inside experience.

Eiffel tower
The single most visited paid monument in the world, and the tallest structure I've ever been in.

Petronas Towers
One of the tallest buildings in the world and they are also my favourite tall building in design.

The Pantheon and St. Peter's Basilica are my favorites by far. Pictures do them no justice.
