- How do you drop an egg 20 meters and keep it from breaking?
Had to do this in my freshman engineering class back in the day.
Built a pyramid of florist's foam. Cut an egg-shaped hole out of the middle. Wrapped outside of foam with cardboard and duct tape. Put on wings that would pop out to slow the descent and induce spin (dihedral). Pyramid landed on the tip, diverting forces along edges and away from egg in middle. Egg survived.
Dropped from much higher than 20m, btw.
