I like to buy peoples shit xboxs and fix them up. I bought the xbox for $50 and bought some supplies for $10. The xbox was in bad condition flashing a single red light in the 3rd quadrant and was very dusty. It also flashed the E73 error on screen. So i fixed the xclamp and let it bake till it got very hot. Turned it off let it cool and turned it back on. Vwolah! it works Yay i have 3 xbox's now. Im gonna give one to the lady friend now. She's gonna rape some l4d lol.
search ebay for boxes lol

I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.

It will be broken again within the next three months.
Nexus, ever worked on one with the hard drive error message? Do you think replacing the 2.5" would fix it, or could it be a case connection issue? I've got an old 20GB harddrive that I'm looking to use on my spare/new XBox Arcade.
I have an xbox with the RROD, been wanting to do this just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Both of mine died and I fixed both of them myself!
I'm a big kid now!

Go on amazon and buy a RROD xclamp fix. It's really easy to do. It costs around $20.presidentsheep wrote:

All my fixes have been permanent "so far."killer21 wrote:

I've read some places that if you replace the 2.5" it would get you banned. I dont know too much about them. What error message are you getting? You can buy a WD scorpio 2.5 and try replacing it. You just need to hook both your old 2.5 and your new 2.5 up to your computer with a special cable to transfer the data and such.Ilocano wrote:

Which version have you fixed? Meaning, the launch 360's, 360's from last year, etc...NeXuS wrote:

Yup, easy enough to do. I've got instructions and sources for the proper images, firmware, programs, etc. Just wondering if you have any experience, before I go and get a 250GB 2.5". No biggie. Thanks anyway.NeXuS wrote:

They all have the new GPU heatsink so they aren't the oldest ones. I got my xbox in 2006. It hasnt broken yet. One of them is a halo 3 edition 360 and the other i believe is from 2006-2007.killer21 wrote:

I haven't heard of any harddrive bans yet. A lot of "innocent" people would be screwed considering the amount of eBay 360 hacked HD sales. Most bans seem to be related to the DVD drive that allows playing copied games.NeXuS wrote:

Oh cool. I might as well make me a new hd then.
I would say, "with a grain of salt", but you have multiple units like I do, so, it won't be to bad.NeXuS wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
