yeah they are testing it, but not sure how long before the department starts using them, it depends how their budget is...

yeah they recently spent money on Chevy Tahoes, $59 million for 2,000 SUVS works out to $29,500 per car, so not sure how long as I said before they start using the chevy ones... they were proposed and tested out its up to the department as I said, they may get different deals from number of different vendors but in the end the department chooses.... , if they do start using them, it would be a gradual approach, they wouldnt get them all at once they may get them at smaller modules, then progress from there on.....

Mainly crown vics around here as well. Standard police car for most of the US. See a few Ford Explorer SUVs, mainly because New England has some rough winters. State cops have a corvette though, and a tracked APC for search and rescue

Yeah, they are pretty nasty looking. We've had a lot less speeding tickets and other incidents since that thing showed up.

Also, to the ninja karma person who though Belchertown wasn't a real town. Look it up, largest town in MA (land area wise) and it holds the majority of Quabbin reservoir which supplies Boston's drinking water. Also a fantastic spot to toke up.

Finnish cop cars look OK though I've seen some really fucked up old shitty ones driving around with paint peeling off and all sorts.

Love the jetbike - never seen that before, or that white one - what is it an alfa romeo? See the guys on bikes fairly often in Hesa, and lol at those electric scooter things.

Border Guard vans suck though.

Hey are any of you guys's cops getting integrated lightbars?

I heard here in my area that they are putting them behind the windshield up high, as in you CANT SEE THE COP LIGHTS UNTIL THEY LIGHT YOU UP!

I think it's bullshit, that light bar is what lets me know there are cops in that vehicle.

I usually call them unmarked, but what you said is essentially the same thing.

And I have only seen one or two unmarked police cars in my city.

we have so many unmarked cars in Rome.
However most of them are Alfa Romeos so if someone has a dark alfa romeo next to you at a traffic light, chances are he is a cop.

Here in Jersey there have been a bunch of people getting pulled over on the highway by cars with integrated lights and getting robbed by a person claiming to be an undercover cop. From what I'm told if you get pulled over by a plain clothes cop you are allowed to ask for a uniformed officer.

Anyway I don't know the make and model of the first one, the second is a durango.

round these here parts all police are uniformed, even in unmarked cars.
