yes, most definitely.
there are several good high end ones, but I got a good one for around $40, the logitech extreme3D Pro, I know alot of people use it
only problem is mine seems to be acting up lately, it "gimps" to the right in every aircraft I fly and I've tried calibrating it, any suggestions?

Well i just like my mouse can get a ratio of 5.71 in jet and 3.67 in heli... and its enough for me
k1LLr_M did u fly with the European Union Aircraft...? cause that one is just totally bugged

I think it is worth it. a joystick, along with a more sensitive settings change will make you a better pilot in aircraft. i have not found out a way to get it working right for a heli. My joystick=Saitek Cyborg EvoDsp-CS- wrote:

No.
I can not bomb for the life of me with a joystick. Mouse only.
gotta practice with the joystick. extreme 3d pro is a good choice, top notch for its price range
get a Logitec G5 laser mouse. its alot like a joystick, kinda. it has on fly sensitivity adjustment and a couple of different possible firing triggers, its quite good. on the other hand to, i have a pair of really nice joysticks on my desk that i havent used since i got them, but i really want to
I have the exact same joystick, and it works fine for me, although i do have to recallibrate it frequently. . It works great tho once you get a decent setup on it. I can literally play the game w/o a mouse or keyboard if i wanted to.BruceNighttrain wrote:

Joystick is WAY better, shhhhh.....
I love my Logitech Wingman. Made me a better pilot, but I'm still no good.
with the throttle control on the joystick, get up to about 250-300 alt. establish your targets, slow down to about 400mph, dive down to about 100 alt, you see a huge succes rate at lower speeds, especially with the fighters (jets with 2 bombs)Snipedya14 wrote:

Bombing videos -> http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=5957 Just watch and you will learn faster then people can explain. Fortunately bombing hasn't changed but AA has.
Joysticks are worth it, you just have to put the time in to learn. If you don't want to put the time in to learn then stick with KB and mouse they work but aren't the best.

i have saitek st90 and it was like £9 and it rocks, i have tried using a mouse but once i got used to the joystick i loved it and i will never go back.
i have teh same one, but mine "gimps" to the left ...but yeah its alot easier to do rolls and other evasiva manouvers with a stick, with a mouse youll end up crashingk1LLr_M wrote:

yeah, mouse=better for bombing, stik=better dogfights
Uh... no. Joystick works just as good at bombing. Takes practice to get good with a joystick though. You can't go from a mouse to a joystick and expect to be perfect right away. It takes a little while to adjust but once you do you are glad you bought a joystick(speaking from my personal experience).k1LLr_M wrote:
