I read the article and the funny part about the patents being claimed in the ITC case, some of those even sound like behaviors that Windows is capable of. Apple has a patent for almost every benign behavior of a device, it's amazing. Talk about exploiting a broken system.

That's like patenting a user interface.

gah patent laws are so messed up. It's important to protect property rights and that extends to original ideals, but the patent process has become such a bureaucratic clusterfuck that now it's all about corporate power plays involving tens of patents and at least as many lawyers, completely independent of who actually came up with what and how they should be compensated.

Apple is NOT the worst about it in any way, this is just going to get 100x the publicity because it is Apple.
