nah, i want that case. gonna give him my old one. dont see how an i7 build could be under 1k...

For 1k, an i7 is pushing it unless you use cheapish parts.

ocz 6 GBs ddr3 ram
bfg nvidia gtx 260 core 216 OC (very hard to find new nowadays)
grand total, $979
i7 rig, less than 1k bucks. sure it will need a new vid card in a couple yrs, but that is easy to upgrade.
(also, i didn't get a new HD or dvd player, just going to use old ones until ssd is cheaper)
