ok guys this may be hard to explain.. you know if you look at a flag (cp) ingame youl see a little distence metre below it EG. 076metres well on wake and sharqie they have a blue metre counter like that but there in the waters.. the 1 on sharqie i remember is behind the tv station in the water.. and i think the 1 on wake is just south of the south base before the bridge in the water +1 karma to whoever gives me the answer to the question that has been keeping me up at night
a bug
Yups, this is just a bug, nothing more. It began appearing right after the 1.2 patch. Sometimes it's red, sometime's it's blue, if you see it through water it's purple, but it doesn't mean anything. Some people say it shows distance to enemy or friendly UAV, but a little experimentation proves this untrue. In other words, don't worry about it, it's probably something EA forgot to take out of the 1.2 code, even if it doesn't do anything.
But I say, if it's red, that's the distance to Hell; if it's blue, the distance to a secret underground spring that will give you invincibility once you drink from it.
