Want to transfer music from my iPhone to laptop

Just got a new HDD and everything wiped, what's the easiest way to transfer everything back on to my laptop?

If I figure out how to enable it for disk drive use it would be pretty easy (showing hidden folders copy/paste), but I can't figure out how to do that. Halp!

after searching through 500 different programs all costing $20-30 and having trial bullshit versions,

I found "sharepod" which seems to work beautifully. I'll leave this here as a reference I suppose.
