G3 for city maps. Besides being a mad killer there is just something "elitist" about it.
m16 for other maps if I have the option. If I dont, then its still the G3.

G3 without a shadow of a doubt. I don't actually use it often myself (or at least, I think I don't, which is rather different!), but it's the gun which kills me the most out of those available for the Assault kit. This makes it a weapon to be feared, in my book, since I'm often Support (bullets by the billions, rar!).

ak101 - ak47 both are great.
I got owned by the G3 several times. The Ak-47 is a good weapon at close-quarters...alleyways of Karkand.
If EA/DICE comes out with a SCAR-H(eavy) would that be considered as an Assault Rifle? I love the SCAR-L but it is considered a Carbine rifle.

The AKs for me then the M16, but to be honest I use all the assault rifles except the F2000, don't know why. The G3 is good for city maps especially when you need hand grenades instead of the GL, but I like the range of the M16 and 101 much better. Just my $0.02

M16A2 is my favorite. Great mix of accuracy and rate of fire. It may be the weakest, but I can pop off 5-6 very accurate rounds in a matter of 2-3 seconds. Plus I think it's the best looking gun in the game. I mean, how can you NOT think the M16 is cool looking? And my most played kit is Assault, and I have 85 hours with it. So don't think I'm a noob for liking it.
Ak-101 and Ak-47 are very similar. 47 does a bit more damage, I think. They're comparable to the F2000. They're good guns, especially in close quarters, but I prefer having more accuracy.
G3/L85A2 are both ok/mediocre rifles. I used to play with the G3 more often before SF came out, but now for some reason I don't like it as much. I know they beefed it up with 1.2, and that's good. But the 20 round clip and the no-nade launcher is very discouraging. You're better off picking the Medic kit and using a G36e.
L85A2... sights are okay, and it's okay at long ranges. Not much to be said, unless you just like British guns, cause this is the second-best looking rifle in the game. Very unique look.

As for the SCAR-H, in my opinion, both the SCAR-H and -L just have too much recoil to be very useful to me. I've found it too hard to use effectively at even medium ranges that the AK-47 or even the L85A1 (with it's own not so great recoil) can handle with ease.

Overall, its the 2 AK's on top, which one is best is personal preference.
Then....Arg, I'm gonna have to go with F2000, it does nice damage, and has the nade launcher.

Mine would be the AK-101 and or F2000 while roaming around in general... although I almost never use the launcher I don't mind having the nice shot.

The AKs are number one for me, followed by the G3. Don't play much assault, cus I just can't kill anything with those damn GLs.
