Supposedly, we are going to have a rare glimpse of the Aurora Borealis tonight.
The blue area is where it should be visible from.
It's cold and sunny here so I'm excited to see them. I've never seen them IRL before.

Night. They go on from dusk 'til dawn as far as I know. Never stuck around for so long though -> fucking cold outside when they turn up. We don't get them much here in Southern Finland, but 200 miles up where my sis lives they're quite common in the Winter.

you are not going to see it. for Seatle you need Auroral Activity Level ~9 it is 3 this evening

isnt this like 2012-bad. It means a stronger than usual solar-wind is bombarding the Earth's magnetic field, possibily allowing more of the solar radiation is getting through the ozone. DAMN some times I hate watching NGC
