i have a sixteen gb ipod nano. haters get the fuck out.

every time i go to drink my beer, the sound cuts out on the right bud. they're Sony's, they've been troopers ( they travelled with me from Puerto Rico to Hawaii) and please forgive me - they've worked so well that i've ignored all the other earbud threads.

they need to be in ear, so when i'm work, i can nod my head when my boss is talking to me. they need to crank, because let's face it - as old as i am, if i go deaf it's par for the course. they need to be black, or white - because i'm color blind, and i don't want to lose them when i set them down.

ok, kidding about that, but fuck you if you think the stock ones are 'good enough' - my ipod is the soundtrack to my life, and my life has not been 'good enough', it has been pretty fucking outstanding so far. which only means i haven't been killed listening to music loud, so recommend me loud, clear, nice earbuds . . .

I've always purchased the Skullcandy's; they're pretty great in-ear earbuds for the pricetag.

I'm satisfied with these, and they're only $13.49. Sure, they're not *amazing*, but for $13.49 and the quality, it can't be beat.

If I were you I would check that it isn't something in the iPod itself, I had an old Sansa that would cut out when you moved the audio jack a certain way. Maybe stick another pair in and make sure it's the earbuds.

Tbh I still use my apple buds for traveling around (cause on the train/bus to uni, nothin will give you decent sound quality).. and I use proper headphones at home.

If I was looking for earbuds, I'd look at Sennheiser. There are probs some other brands out there, but Senns are the main decent ones around here.

Sennheiser or Shure. Gotta spend more to get quality from Shure though. I've got the SE110's and I find they're a bit lacking in bass.

I've got Sennheiser CX500s and I like them. I am hardly an audio connoisseur but it sounds good to me and I think the bass is pretty impressive for earphones.
