Hi I've just spent the last 20 mins trying to register on Amazon. After a quick google and looking at google answers I've decided the vast majority of the internet is filled with morons, so I've come here for the correct answer.

Do I need a credit card to sell on amazon? I have a debit card, for which I can purchase goods with, but lack the ability to see the option for registering my Solo card. What's this bullshit, are they in league with Credit card companies or something? I just want to sell items on Amazon, why can I not be paid to my debit card...?

Oh and no eBay because paypal is shite.

Please halp

For karma

You have to register a bank account to your Amazon seller account. Once you sell an item there is a 14 day waiting period, then the money goes from your Amazon account to your bank account automatically.

There's no option for that, the options are Mastercard, Visa and American express. Of which I have none.

Are you sure you are setting up a seller account, not a regular account?

Also. Get a credit card.

Solo is a waste of time; they can't do shit. Get a proper debit card and you'll be fine.

Yeah I'm sure, and I will never have a credit card.

And Ghetto I've never had trouble until now, regardless I'm applying for a Visa with Halifax.

Its a good idea to never get a credit card, however.

Look on the front of your debit card, does it have the logo of a major credit card company on it?

For example, the debit card to my bank account is through Mastercard. It is NOT a credit card, but its backed by mastercard meaning i can use it as "credit" at store and it simply withdrawls from my bank account the benefit of this is to not have to punch in my pin number its just slide and go.

So if yours does have a credit card company on the front just pretend the debit card is a credit card and use the number. That way you can do online business.

It does, however I've put my card number in for all 3 of the options and it won't work. Someone I know had a similar problem as well. I'll just wait for my new debit card to come I guess, thanks guys.

Sounds like a problem on Amazon's end. Or maybe a page glitch. If your bored, try deleting your cookies and page settings. And only put your card number in for the company that owns your card dont try all 3 that just looks like something a CC theif would do.

Really? A lot of online sites won't take Solo, my mate found this out when Natwest would only give him a Solo card. He opened an account with Lloyds and has been fine ever since with the Visa card they give you.
