Hi there guy's,

I recently bought a Nvidia 6800 gsx for my comp and an extra 512 mb of RAM but my fps sucks big time on 64 player games.

On 32 player servers i get between 40-60 fps but on 64's it really takes a hammering, im lucky if the thing achieves 30 fps!

I don't really know what it is, i think maybe it could be the power unit but would that alone give me more FPS???? It's only got the stock power supply (unsure of wattage), or maybe more RAM is needed, what do you guy's think.

On my brother's rig he get's 50ish FPS on 64's and he only has a little 6600gt 128mb, same RAM but a 3500+

Thanks.

Two things that you should check in situations like this (since you have a good graphics card):

-Updated drivers (from website of nvidia, not the ones that came bundled with the card)
-Heat problems.

Also you may check how many programs are running while you are playing (antivirus, desktop themes, etc). Hope that this helps you out .

The temp is OK i think, i checked it in BIOS a while back and the drivers are the newest and definately close all programs, always before BF2.

What are the GPU temperatures?

And what PSU do you have?

You could try defragging the hard drive to speed up the read times.

Also, what graphical settings are you using for BF2?

Did you uninstall your old card drivers? Did you make sure your computer isn't looking for your old card as well?
