I have a 160GB 6th gen video/classic. It's big enough to store my main music collection. I use it whenever my 320GB Archos 7 is too big.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
wheres the phone option?
Null. All trash. The only good part of any iPod ever was the aluminum shell of the original mini. [/rage]
people if you want to talk about your phones/other inferior mp3 players then go make your own fucking thread. its a "what type of ipod is your favoirite?" not a "what do you use to play music?"
as for the poll question, i picked the classic(video).

I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.
Haha, I remember I once bought a 128MB Creative mp3. Cost £40 back in the day.presidentsheep wrote:

so a couple of weeks later the missus wants to take it on a business trip. she says "hey where's that mp3 player you bought? can i take it to Fargo with me?" and i'm all like 'wouldn't you rather take the camera instead?' she says "no dumbass, i can't listen to the camera on the plane" so that's when i told her we could take 1200 pictures with our camera now, and that the three hundred bucks i just spent on an mp3 player was gone.ebug9 wrote:

Got an 8GB 2nd Gen iPod Touch. Thank god for the 2nd gen because my mom has the 1st gen and it BLOWS. A lot of games you can't even download/play on it because it's just too slow now.
1st gen = 412MHz processor w/ 128MB of RAM, no external volume changer whatsoever(have to have the screen on to change the volume)
2nd gen = 532MHz processor w/ 128MB of RAM, FM Radio receive support(not enabled as of this post), Bluetooth support(enabled in OS 3.0), integrated speakers, microphone supporting headphone slot
3rd gen = 600MHz processor w/ 256MB of RAM, faster OpenCL supporting GPU, FM Radio receive + transmit support(not enabled as of this post), Wireless N support(not enabled as of this post), Bluetooth support, integrated speakers, microphone supporting headphone slot
Thinkin about getting a 3rd Gen soon, literally can't wait till 4th gen.

You can replace those with Compact Flash cards in any device that comes with a Microdrive and just reinstall the firmware. Solid State upgrade ftw.burnzz wrote:

I've only ever had one iPod (1st gen Nano) ... so I guess I vote for that.
Still works perfectly. Battery life is still pretty decent, too.
