I suppose ammo crates are harder to come by irl, does the NZ army not have many guys playing as Assault?Ty wrote:

In most cases yes it is as, er, overpowered. It's a one hit kill weapon with a decent radius and it could take out light transports. Probably more powerful in RL in this case. You couldn't just hammer away at a tank until it blew up though.
Nah, NZ Infantry loadout doesn't really fit into any of the BF catagories. Grenadier would be Assault, Gunners would be Support, (although they only carry extra ammo for themselves.) Everyone else is just... common Infantry. Rifle, nades and smoke nades. Some people carry Claymores and others carry M72s. I suppose the M72 guys could be considered AT but everyone uses the same primary weapon, (Steyr,) save the gunners who use the C9. I don't quite know where BF got their class guides from but at least it keeps things interesting.

Two different animals. I like the M16 because it's relatively accurate and the round can inflict some horrendous injuries for its size.androoz wrote:

Being Gunner is a mixed bag. You've got the heaviest and most unweildly weapon, (especially in close country - trust me, it sucks,) you have to fill every space you have in your webbing for rounds and pieces of belt leaving less room for snacks and grenades, in a defensive harbour you can't fire unless the platoon commander tells you to, (REALLY sucks if there's an awesome attack and you can't join it, I almost wrestled my #2s Styre away from her,) and when patrolling you always have to run up to the high ground which is quickly tiring.) still, you get the easiest sentry shift and are responsible for about 70% of your sections firepower which is cool to remember. Still, I'm much happier as a Grenadier. Hang at the back with the 203 and get the fun jobs in a contact, (either lobbing 40 mls or assaulting.) In one day during training when I was a Grenadier we had three contacts and I got the kill each time. Good fun. Meanwhile the Gunner was just laying supressive fire. Shit job, don't want it.Arc wrote:

I would argue that I was very unimpressed when I finally saw what a 203 round did in real life. Id say its nerfed.

No but I heard about its "problem". Anyway it's just a fucking imitation of the G36 anyway and quite frankly the G36 is way better in my opinion.seymorebutts443 wrote:

so you also read up on how it jammed the least when compared with the M416 and the M4 during a recent dust test. (well 3 years ago but still happened after it's cancellation.)War Man wrote:

except that issue is easily solvable by using a different composite material rated at a higher temperature. also, that probably would only happen if you fired constantly on full automatic in a incredibly hot environment.War Man wrote:

You can also solve jamming with certain solutions as well.seymorebutts443 wrote:

I never had a weapon jam on me. Unless you're talking about firing 10,000+ rounds through a weapon without cleaning it, it doesn't generally happen.War Man wrote:
