I just think people should wait for iPad clones that will be out soon. HP is brewing something that will have camera and USB ports and I think it will be priced less.
That's for a different person. Someone closer to your likings. The iPad is for the other 40 million iPod/iPhone users.
I'll even use my kindle for fast browsing on the internet sometimes.. because it's quicker to grab than my laptop. If it were full color and touchscreen it would be even more pimp. It would be cool to have the iPad on your coffee table/nightstand. Now what that is worth to any particular person is relevant to each lifestyle/financial situation.
At least you aren't comparing it to netbooks.
