playing the $1k on may 29th. i sold 70% of my action, so i'm only putting up $300 of my own money
why do that though? Just for experience I guess? I was thisclose to playing one a few years ago but I couldn't muster up the balls. My game has slipped soooo much since then I wouldn't feel comfortable playing for a while.
Side note: My dad informed me that he is purchasing a bar/nightclub in Phuket, Thailand. Flies out on Sunday to sign the papers. I'm probably going there in late September, anyone want to go with me?

I was watching Poker after Dark last night on NBC. .. the cash game.
They kept betting 100k at a time, nonchalant.. I'm calling BS. Even if they are a bunch of rich professional poker players.. anyone would still flinch at back to back to back 100k losses. Well any poker player would.

Late Sept. is still the 'slow' season according to him. Airfare is around $1k. Probably have a free place to stay. Everything is super cheap there too. His words were, "the biggest expense will be deciding how many women to bring back." That's where I said, "ok, you're my dad and that's kind of weird to think about." Let me know as summer gets closer.
But they're playing with winnings from that tournament aren't they? It's not like they brought 500k with them to lose.

Supposedly it is. There's the 'big game' in Vegas (I think at the Bellagio?) where all the big dogs play. From what I've heard/read, there's usually a $1million winner and loser.ghettoperson wrote:
