Hi I'm Sgt.Zubie here and also in this great game. I'm a noob I guess only because I'm new though, I try not to do noobish stuff as I learn what noobish stuff is! LOL

There certainly are some badass killer's in this game for sure!

I have learned alot by reading these forums, I have been lurking for a bit now.

Things I have learned from here...

1. If you are going to get in armor be an Engineer, although there is some argument for Medic or Support.
2. Some people think Sniper's are worthless, some don't. I like being Sniper!
3. If your Support throw down lot's of ammo bags and shoot only from prone, and fire in burst.
4. If Medic try and kill the bad guy's before you revive if possible.
5. Don't hop all over the place or you will look silly and people will call you bunny hopper!
6. If you're a Sniper you better not stay in your spot for long or someone will come knife ya!(I've learned this one the hard way also!)
7. If you jump when you throw a grenade it will go farther.
8. Put claymore's in places where the enemy travel's not just behind your sniper spot or on top's of ladder's. (this one has really got me some kill's lately)
9. You can get on top of some building's using the Vodnik.
10. Nyte has a big ego!

This is just a few thing's I've learned here there are many more...

I just wanted to say hello and I hope to get to know you guy's, and maybe I'll see you in game. Right now I play mostly Karkand(shocking I know!) Mashtuur and Wake. On Insomia365 and Tigerland and a few other clan servers I can't remember right now. I also have SF but haven't gotten around to playing it much yet.

One question...Does anyone use the MP7 for infantry fighting? I just unlocked it and was wondering, so far I just drive vehicles and jump out to drop mines. I trid a little fighting with the Jackhammer but I couldn't hit crap with it! LOL to much recoil and not enough practice! Was thinking of trying to fight with that MP7 though any advice?

Hey! ...welcome to the madness...as for the MP7 i havent got it, engineer unlocks are the things im lacking lol so cant really be much use there, ive messed about with the gun and found it reasonably decent, its a lot of fun at very close range, which is what its designed for, im sure someone else will be able to tell you more!

Good man for lurking a but and getting to know us crazy goons. You seemed to pick up some valuable information, (especially number ten which I was impressed about, but we like him anyway... kind of.)

Correction for you though - you are not a n00b, you are a newb. I assure you, it's better that way.

To answer your question, I think that you rather than anyone else has the right idea of the Engineer's job. The Mp7 is for personal defence only; if you are attacked you mow down the atacker, preferably at close range. It is not a tool to go looking for enemy soldiers. I just have unlocked it too, and had a lot of fun in the weekend unloading it in TMo's general direction, and it may sound fun going out into the streets of Karkand, (I hope you get over that illness soon too by the way,) and hunting down guys, but it's not the best gun for that job, even in that map.

Thank's Tyferra I just saw your post right before I was logging out. Yes I guess I better not get to excited about trying out my new toy and play Engineer the right way.

Karkand is fun but don't worry I plan on experiencing it all eventually. I like knowing where I'm going, I'm still lost on other maps. Of Course Wake is easy layout and I'm learning Mashtuur.

The MP7 is a versatile gun--a jack of all trades but a master of none. The shots do 19 damage, meaning it takes 6 non-head hits to kill a non-armored kit (Medic, Engy, Sniper, Spec-Ops) and 8 non-head hits to kill an armored kit (Assault, Support, AT). This is stiff, but since it spews bullets (900 rounds a minute, as fast as the M249 SAW) you'll get off 6-8 hits in a couple seconds at close range. Maybe not as fast as you would with a shotgun, but fast. At medium range, short bursts while running and (gasp) maybe even jumping once or twice will get you a few hits. If your enemy goes prone and he's close, run towards him and try confusing him by running circles or half-circles around him, unloading the MP7 in the process. If he's at medium range, you're probably screwed but you'll be best served by also flopping into prone and aiming for the head. If you hit him enough earlier one hit will be all you need.

So in short, the MP7 tries to be an assault rifle at medium range, but doesn't quite have the firepower or accuracy to hang with the AKs. At close range it spits out ammo, but can't quite match the sheer stopping power of a shotgun. The MP7 is a compromise, but with practice it'll serve you well:
