Every once in a while I still hit something that insist on making a $%!@#*& floppy disk! I refuse to have a floppy drive on my system!

I have a floppy drive for two reasons:

Reason 1: I don't have anything better to put in that hole.
Reason 2: I like being able to update my BIOS every once in a while.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

update bios from a thumb drive or just from windows?

Note !!! This version works only on 32 bit systems !!! fail......

luckly I have no need for floppy drive because I can update my BIOS with a USB memory stick/CD and installing Vista doesn't need it either.
My friend does still need a floppy drive because he has a horrible VIA chipset motherboard. (which is total crap btw)

I've never managed to boot from a USB drive. Bah.

I think most people are running 32bit OS's at this point and time.
It works on 64 bit processors regardless.
