too bad nobody is gonna beat the cavs
the cavs will beat themselves.
I was reading the box score from game 1. It said something to the effect of "Shaq looked like he did 10 years ago." I thought to myself, wow, shaq's into it again. Then I look at his line - 12 pts, 5 rbs, 4 asts...that's not the shaq from 10 years ago...that would have been his line at the end of the first quarter.

only time will tell. shaq did look good in game 1. i dont care what the numbers were
it really doesn't matter how he looks against joakim noah/brad miller so much as what he looks like against dwight howard. that's pretty much what the cavs got him for.
funny how the cavs built a team to beat someone in their conf, the way dallas built a team to beat san antonio, and the lakers built a team to beat the jazzKEN-JENNINGS wrote:

Making the playoffs and not winning the championship is a fancy phrase for losing
Oh yeah? If the Nets made the playoffs this year and lost in 4 games in the first round they would be a failure? Every team that doesn't win the championship is a failure? Maybe for elite teams like the Cavs, but not for every team.Yellowman03 wrote:

Winning the championship is everything. You can have goals to reach that, but ultimately you fail if you aren't number one.
Maybe theoretically but not realistically.Yellowman03 wrote:

Celtics are absolutely destroying the heat. I was hoping for a good game.

Mofuggin Lake Dogs.
I was at the game (not center court this time, sorry sardine). Some dude hit a half court shot at the end of the third for $235k. That's the second time I've seen that. Last time the guy won like $75k.
Kobe wasn't getting any calls until like 4 minutes left. Pretty sloppy game all around. Any other team and the Lakers lose that game. Good thing the Thunder are nowhere near the same level.
Bynum's looking good, Farmar's looking confident off the bench, Pau's playing hard consistently, Artest is staying super active on defense (but doing nothing offensively). They are getting there.

yeah he's a beast. I had him on my keeper fantasy team this year. He was my first pick. He just needs to work towards driving the hoop a little more I think.
he does that and its o v
go Oklahoma Thunder! even though your chances of murdering Lakers are very slim.....Yellowman03 wrote:

As Durant gets stronger he will drive it / post up a lot more. LeBron was as skinny as Durant when he entered the NBA, but he didn't have anywhere near the shooting ability that Durant has. I can't wait to see what he does.
Also, Durant has 'promised' to stay in OKC even if it means taking a smaller contract. Time to buy a jersey? I'm definitely getting his shoes.
