Jesus christ that was the most depressing start to a children's film I've ever seen. Picked up later on, and was a pretty solid movie.

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
it was ok...just some dodgy acting in places, some OTT explosions/fighting and some bad dialogue. It's not a bad way to waste an hour or two.DBBrinson1 wrote:

Master and Commander
8.5/10
Just rewatched it on Blu-ray. Beautifully shot film. Wonderfully indiosyncratic without being tedious. Great action. Story dragged in the middle. NEEDS A SEQUEL!

good music, good story, well shot. Spoiler (highlight to read):
Bit obvious from the get-go it was a bible and he was blind, but still fantastic.

The Hurt Locker
7/10 at best, probably even a 6.5
How is this supposedly different from any other war or even action movie? He's your generic fucking hero with a cowboy attitude, and you have your usual "war is bad" message in there.

its fucking bullshit mostly with some good scenes.

Its pretty mediocre tbh. Its only popular because the topic it covers is a hot issue in the media...FatherTed wrote:

A pretty solid movie and you barely gave it a D over an F? 9/10 for me. Not something I'd watch over and over like "The Incredibles" but a worthy entry in family CGI.Finray wrote:

If I had to summarize it in a sentence, I'd use this old bit: "this too shall pass." I'd say the message of the movie is that life can turn around when you least expect it. Sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better. The important part is it ended on a happy note, unlike "Divinity 2."
Black Dynamite: 9/10
I would've given it an 8, but as the film progressed it became increasingly comedic.
Win.

And it somehow beat Inglorious Basterds for audio...eleven bravo wrote:

As a film it wasn't impressive, not Oscar material.

Clash of the titans, 7.5/ten
Good, overhyped perhaps

Clash of the Titans I'd give a 7/10. Needed some more battle scenes.

Oh come on, an EOD guy can pick up someone elses sniper rifle, miss a static target by 10 metres and then get a hit on a running target no problem.jord wrote:
