Helicopter Lag

Before you bombard with comments that I should use searh button first. I did and no result come up relate to lag using the helicopter.

My computer specs is...

P4 HT 2.4ghz
1.5gb ram
ATI X800XL 256mb
Windows XP Pro

Before 1.2 patch, use the helicopter was perfect with no lag. (Include as Pilot and Co-Pilot) When 1.2, 1.21 and 1.22 released. To use the helicopter was never be same. However, when I use the airplane, it did show no lag at all. Then I did update my video card, defrag my hard drive, etc. No luck.

I wonder if any of you have this same problem and found solution?

try low settings

also try this

open console by pressing ` ingame type in

pb_sleep 500 ( this comand will Change your PB doing its thing to every 500 secs instead of every 20 secs )
then type in
pb_writecfg ( this will save your PB settings so you don't have to type in every time you go in to server )

look into ur options! maybe the patch setted the AUDIOSETTINGS to SOFTWARE!
make sure that you activate HARDWARE!

I read that the PB team even recommends this setting. That was with patch 1.20

also make sure you don't have any firewalls or adawere sofwere runing as Bf2 dont seem2 like it, Disable while playng and enable when you finish playng

If i want perfect game play i do this. I also shut down any unneccessary processes such as:
explorer.exe
(although its not adivsed lol) the svchost.exe that is using the most memory
and anything else that is not 'vital' to windows

Have you tried power flushing your modem? Updating your router(supposing you have one)? I had to last night because of all the dropping I was doing. Seemed to help.
