Karma for any help.
Have a test tomorrow afternoon, going through my practice problems and realized I have no idea how to do energy level transitions.
Question is:
Find the wavelength of the third Balmer line of hydrogen. Is it visible (between 4000 and 7000 angstroms).
Similar Question:
Find the wavelength of the EM radiation emitted during the second Lyman transition of Hydrogen.
I think I want to use lambda = hc/ delta e but I have no idea how to do so. I'm familiar with Lyman Balmer and Paschen, but again not how to apply them.
Any help at all would be great.
