THey are very useful, as I spot also. Usually people wander about and you would want to spot for them so your team has an advantage. Or when they leave the UAV zone. BUt sometimes it is annoying when you are 'listening' -- they need a mute button for the commander sometimes, but if it means a win, I don't mind, he can spam all he wants, but can't read some of the funny messages if he continously does it.

Useful as long as he or she doesn't spam!
as long as hes not spotting enemies in the uav or spotting one guy like 10 times. also i like commanders who spot people who are all by themselfs and far away from people. like a single guy swimming in the water on karkand. for all we know once he gets to the back flag he makes himself a squad leader and before you know it your back flag is gone. so even those single people i like to track down and kill them. remember it only takes one spark to start a fireSpark wrote:

Agreed. But it's annoying to see 3 or 4 people standing around having some tee, poking their finger up their nose, or whatever and all got own3d by a spotted enemy standing behind them So it could happen that I spotted an enemy several times. Well, so far the poll is pretty conclusive.

I usually only spam the spot when I need the attention, like for an ace sniper or armor unit. And even then, I try to keep it to a max of three. Thats enough to grab the attention of your guys usually.
However, I'll usualy zoom in and follow high profile targets and keep spotting them every so often to make sure they stay on the mini-map.
