I got a new contract job to teach some teenager English. He canceled an appointment or two (no big deal) and I had to cancel an appointment that we had made (gave him over a week's notice) because I had a test at the same time that should have taken place earlier (my university isn't the best when it comes to organization at times). His sister, who was the one footing the bill for his lessons, called me and my boss(es) and bitched up a storm. I calmed one of said bosses down and sent her the emails showing that this kid's sister was full of shit and thought everything was cool. So fast forward 5 days and I get an email from the OTHER boss and he tells me my services are no longer needed or wanted anymore with the company. Works perfectly well for me, I didn't much like my one boss - whenever she called it turned into a 30-60 minute bitching session about whatever random gripe she had at the time. Her custom ring tone was a red alert klaxon going off if that tells you how much I looked forward to her phone calls. The company paid shit wages, too... €12/hour. I should be making at least €15/hour, but they sent me the contracts and I didn't have to do the legwork in finding the work, so I was cool with it. To hell with it. Now I can focus more time on school, even though I hadn't even done work for them in over a month.
