Custom mouse control

I have a Logitec G5 and i'm very happy with it so far. The only thing is i would like to allocate the thumb button to something useful like prone or reload (maybe.) But the game doesn't recognise me pushing this button in the control setup screen. Any ideas?

Also, on a totally unrelated point - how do you call for UAV / Supply drop in game??

i got a g5 and use the thumb button for prone too.

what you need to do is in the setpoint software assign the thumb button to the z key.

i think they call it keystroke assignment in setpoint.

I have the G5. Flying is a breeze.

As to the button. I don't run SetPoint because of the convoluted setup procedure involved in getting it to run on Server 2003. When I plug in the mouse I do take the drivers off the SetPoint CD.

All I do after that is go into the controls and push the button to mark it as the secondary control for prone.

Sometimes the game forgets the setting so I go back in and change it.

The contol is listed as MOUSE 3 when I push the button to make the assignment inside BF2.

i have that problem and there is nothing more frustrating than trying to go prone and it not working and you get shot.

thats why i gave it the z keystroke assignment.

I found out that if you set the prone command to BACKSPACE (which is the mouse 3 button's default) you can use the button for prone and still use it as BACK in Internet Explorer. Happy now

Correct me if Im wrong but to call in UAV / SUPPLY / ARTY you need to be a squad leader and use the squadleader commo button...not sure what it is on vanilla keyboard but on a Z Board its the T key

That is correct, but remember you have to press f, wait is it f? Bah I am at work. I think it's f then ask for supply/arty. Wherever your looking is where it will call for.
