well, I discovered Dragon Valley was already in, so the map list as of now reads as follows:

Karkand
Wake
Oman
Sharqui
Mashtuur
Dragon
Zatar
Kubra

As you see, all the city maps are upfront, while the rest is in the back. should I mix it up a little ?

I have the day off, so I have the opportunity to change the order before playing starts this evening. Just post your recommendations

Agreed! B.Schuss, pls get rid of wake, its like Echo said before, way too unbalanced. Personally I dont have any arguments against zatar. Havent played this map yet on the EU-Server and also for a long time now.

Yea, the first couple of maps should be popular ones to get alot of players, karkand, oman, sharqi, mashtuur. And put maybe one of 2 new maps in, if wake is out, maybe try a different airmap like clean sweap. Put something in that we havent played together before.

although I like the EF maps, I agree that most people don't have the expansion. Vanilla BF2 is still the most played part of the series, I'd say.

We'll stick with the current mapcycle for now.

I wouldn't cry if Dragon were removed. It's playable but it will never be my favourite map.

remove dragon and give us an extra serving of sharqi!!  me luvs sharqi...got a little of sumthing for everyone except plane whores and i can't remember many bf2s planewhores.

another thing to consider: the server is usually not full.  most nights we'll have around 40 players.  when people are searching for games they are much more likely to join our server if they see we're on sharqi/mashtuur/karkand than if they see us on dragon valley or some of the bigger "plane friendly" maps.  as an experiment you may want to try the following setup:

sharqi
oman
karkand
mashtuur
daqing
sharqi
dalian or clean sweep
mashtuur

so you got 5 city maps and 3 air maps.  i think that would increase the server population.

also, on the bf2s eu server last week i got into a game that had 64 players on mashtur but was played on the 16 player size map.  don't know if it was a mistake cause it only lasted one round and then we went back to 64 size maps.  it was a blast.  be cool to experiment a little with this concept?  you can take almost any air map and turn it into a city-type encounter by playing 64 players on a 16 size map.

We re not planning to put 16 player maps in the normal cycle.

That would be interesting though, especially 16 player Karkand...

I know we must start with Karkand,but after that can we have some other map then Sharqi or Oman.
PLZ!!! i'm starting to get really fed up with that mapcycle.

Yes Kubra is fine,the other maps are fine to.
Just change the cycle.
