Hey guys!

So, I'm in the final stages of deciding my new build.  I'm 99.99% sure I'm going with this, but I'd like the opinion of more people before I spend such a wad of cash! Price is up to $951.25 CAD at the moment.

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz
Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4x2GB (8GB)
Video Card: MSI N250GTS Twin Frozr 1G GeForce GTS
Motherboard: ASUS M4N75TD AM3 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX AMD
Case: Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower
PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W

The video card is not included in the price. A few friends from my clan got together and bought that for me for my birthday, so it's not changeable. I already have 500GB's worth of HDD space so I don't think I'll be needing anymore, I hardly use all of that!

Tell me what you guys think! Is there something some of you may know and I don't about these parts? That's why I'm asking!

Thanks guys!

-Will

Persosonally I think going for an i7 build might be a better option. In my opinion Save some cash on the case and go 6gb of ram

Just my thoughts... just depends how much you want to spend though.. its not a bad build.

An i7 + a 250GTS = not a great idea, the 250GTS is a bit underpowered for an i7 imo.

I also wouldn't recommend an nForce mobo.

I'm pretty set on the case. I've been in love with that case since I seen it at a friends, and I've been stuck with a POS case for the past 5 years. It's basically my dream case haha..

Also I wanted to mention that I wanted to kind of "Future-Proof" the computer, meaning, some of it may look a bit excessive, like the 8 gigs of ram, but I do a lot of multitasking, and I want to basically upgrade to keep it for a few years.

I got this chunk of change from a tax return, and lots of money doesn't come my way very often! lol... So I'm not sure when I'll be able to scrape money together again.

EDIT: I'm not very knowledgeable on motherboards, so I just went off of what a friend suggested with the nForce board.  I went with it because he said I wouldn't be able to use SLI on my 250GTS if I didn't have an nForce board? Or something like that..

You can get far better graphics card for that budget.

Also stay away from nForce. GTS 250 SLi is ridiculous idea anyway.

750w PSU is overkill too.

And you want decent cooler for CPU, the boxed is POS.

Also Ripjaws don't work great on AMD platforms.

Guys, the card is not changeable. It was given to me as a birthday gift by friends. I'm happy with it. I may upgrade it in the future, but for now, it will meet my needs whatever the power of it is.

EDIT: Yeah what's up with the Ripjaw/AMD thing? Think I'll have many problems with it?

Still, forget about nforce, you are better off upgrading single card when you need.

Not much problems with Ripjaws, but there is no reason to get ram that is guaranteed to OC like crap on AMD platform. There are plenty better alternatives.
