Best Map to Earn Repair Points

OK. I really want to get my 1,000 repair points. I am more than halfway there. I get a lot of them playing "Warlord" on SF. However, as much as I like Warlord, I don't want to play it all weekend long. I don't mind playing it 50% of the time, but I'd like some other variety.

What are some Vanilla BF2 maps that are good for picking up repair points? Warlord is great because there are always Spec Ops guys blowing the assets up, and USUALLY everyone else is busy fighting in the palace - leaving little old me the quick repair points in my little pickup or buggy.

People say "Armor whore on Karkand," but I really don't find myself racking up that many because I often find myself teamed up with an idiot in armor that (a) doesn't want to stick together (and sometimes, I can't stand to follow idiots) or (b) they don't spawn as engineer (i.e. why should they get the benefit of being repaired by me, when they do not reciprocate?). Plus, EVERYONE wants to get into armor in Karkand... it is hard to get it sometimes.

So, what are some maps that ALWAYS have the assets blown up? LOL.

Any thoughts are welcome.

I gave up on mine, and every other medal or ribbon, when it really comes down to it, its nothing more than a silly graphic displayed in BFHQ, and most of the requirements for awards are B.S to begin with. Including ranks, and if you played since the game came out, seeing how easily the requirements can be adjusted by the provider, its really pointless, so I just play for fun now.

I don't really have any advice, the strategy your using seems pretty good. You may have some luck with Euroforce maps or the upcoming Armored Fury maps if you have the booster or plan to get it, with all that armor going around.

But most will agree that repair points are a little on the slow side. Most of the time I've spent in Mashturr City the U.S. assets are blown up alot.. thats how I got my Vetran Repair badge.

Do you have Euro Forces? Operation Smokescreen is essentially a huge tank battle. If you, as engineer, hop in a DPV or FAV and follow the tank squadrons around you can rack up lots of repair time. Just drive close behind the tanks so you repair them as they're damaged, and move from tank to tank as needed.

I also think that a 64-player Dragon Valley map with a low population (say 20 players) allows for lots of repair time, as it's got loads of vehicles. Don't forget you can repair Stinger and IGLA sites while people are in them, too. They get shot a lot...

Repair the Essex on Wake. You'll get alot if you have a greedy J10 constantly harassing the carrier.

My dear friend, here is how you do it...Wait for someone to enter a tungsuka on Ghost Town, hopfully a squad mate, then sit in the second seat, and constantly repair it as he recklessly takes on APCS and Tanks. Check the AWARDS thread, I did it and it worked for me lol! Hope that helped.

Warlord and Sharqui are to maps where the Commander asset are often blown...

One of the Euro pack maps (Not Great Wall) get in a tank and stay close to a friend....

I'm going to have to give the Euro Forces stuff a go. I haven't played them at all. The all-out tank battle sounds like a goofy map, but if it will get me the points, then I'll play.

After I get that Meritorious Service medal, I will stop trying for awards and just play for the heck of it. I don't know why, but that is the only award that I've really made an effort to get. Everything else just kinda happened - like Veteran Knife Combat. I mean, I was screwing around on Warlord, and before you know it... the music played. I should thank the unknown squad member I had that was going nuts with the tear gas.

Goodluck on it! I spent alot of time as well, with Healing and Ammo, maybe I'll give that FAV thing in Smoke Screen a try

Actually, the only reason I'm going for it is because I don't like only having the Good Conduct Medal. When I was in the real USMC, I prayed to God that I'd get a chance to earn a medal other than my GCM! LOL. I know... I know... I'm a tool!!

Large map, few players, get into a humvee or comparable MEC/PLA vehicle (where you can sit in the back with your repair thing in hand), drive into the water, you can repair faster that the car gets damaged: +- 1 repair point a minute, fastest way I can think of.

Gulf of Oman, the USMC artillery gets blown up often, but you're kinda screwed if MEC takes all the CPs. Good luck man.

Ghost town is a good one if your commanding and your assets are being aggresively attacked.being in a convoy of armored engineers in any city map is good too.

ok well my experience is a full daqing oilfields, mad repair points if you have a team of armor whores on either side.

and kubra dam, hop in the AA and go with the tanks and APC's cover fire and repair points what more do you need?

you can do the same thing on Daqing as i mentiononed on kubra.
