The problem is the internet access is either quick temporarily, is sluggish, doesn't load properly, or won't load at all. This can all change in 5 minutes and then not work altogether, then work fine, have problems loading etc.

This only started yesterday.

We have 4 computers on our home network, 2 connected to the router via ethernet cable, a laptop and my PC connected via wireless (same router). It appears all computers have this problem but at differing degrees. Mine seems worse affected from what I can tell.

We've called our ISP twice and they say there's no network problems their end. The router is 4 months old, with no physical damage whatsoever (it's sat in the same place the entire time).

We've reset the router, I've emptied my browser's cache (Google Chrome), the other computers are running different browsers (IE and Firefox) all with the same problems. All computers running various versions of Windows 7.

Really don't know what to do, does anyone have any idea what's going on?

PS: Facebook seems to be almost fine, most other sites not (especially BF2s).

BF2S loads slow for all Ausland.

It's not just Bf2s, it's pretty much everything.

ISP, meaning Internet Service Provider, TPG. Sorry if it's the wrong terminology.

TPG is shiteful under peak times. They will always say it's not their fault.

Try a couple speedtests next it happens.

It happens all the time, in fact it's taken me 5 attempts just to post this reply.
I've tried doing a speed test but it wouldn't open the page... when I used uTorrent it was very much slower than normal. And no, our internet is not capped out as far as we know (they email us when we get to 80% usage, and we haven't had that and our plan is 50+50GB so it's not like we'd have done it easily).

It appears to have been our internet provider, despite them telling us it was our router, just like you said.

Started Friday night, came back to normal Monday night. Fucking TPG.

Yesterday seemed to be a bit funny for the net, numerous sites 'down', access to others slow.
Bigpond connection totally out for an hour (cable was fine).

you guys are frighteningly backwards when it comes to the internet

some of the laws that get passed, as well as the general impression i get of the consumer-quality

don't you guys have petitions or referendums on that shit?

A three year electoral cycle basically means nothing ever gets done.
In 2004 the best I could get was 28.8kbps, in one of the most expensive suburbs in town.

Yeah Australia is well behind the 8 ball in terms of speeds and data limits relative to price.
It should improve but when you have Telstra at the helm (the company who owns pretty much all the lines) there's not a lot the other players can do.
Sol Trojulio was a complete douche.
