lol:p. Technically, Germany if hitler didn't get impatient. But since he did, Britain won. They didn't really win, actually, they just routed the Germans.Dilbert_X wrote:

I say Tommy Sopwith.
Paintballing got a bit boring after the 15th or so time.
And it's unjustifiably expensive.

Well, when Britain bombed Berlin, Hitler was so angry that he ordered his forces to switch attacks from military targets to London. Therefore, Britain had time to repair and recuperate their planes, and were able to keep hitting the Germans hard. So, Hitler the Impatient got frustrated even though he could have defeated Britain, and withdrew his forces. Then, Hitler decided that Russia looked weak, so in operation Barbarossa, he turned his sights and hit Stalin hard.Dilbert_X wrote:

The amount of people out there who have drivers licenses but don't actually know how to drive is staggering. No better way to wake up in the morning than nearly getting hit by morons.
you wake up in a moving car?
There is also:
Radar
Range/fuel advantage
Didn't Sopwith start production of the Hurricane in advance of govt orders?
It was lucky also Rolls Royce developed the Merlin speculatively.

Well, as to radar, the British had it, and knew when the Germans were coming, and were able to intercept them. As to range and fuel advantage, the British fighters had nearby bases, while the germans had to fly over the whole channel and back, meaning the Germans couldn't spend a lot of time fighting. As for Sopwith, I don't know much about that area.Dilbert_X wrote:

So the book i want to read called 'Roadside Picnic" is extremely rare and costs 65$ on amazon. No libraries in my area have a tangible copy of it. I can get the book on tape from the UMASS Library but i would rather read it. sonuvabitch.
i feel that way about at least one book every time i go to do an essay
fucking academics and philosophers get like, one edition cycles and then sell for £100+ on amazon, second-hand. fuck that.
