Visible wavelengths are so boring and dull. Check out the universe in infrared or in ultraviolet.

I think this is pretty cool for astronomy nerds like me.

What's so cool about looking at false coloured images, I'd take a real visible light photograph any day over something else, at least you know what you're looking at

BTW

It looks like a picture of our galaxy (from the perspective of the earth)

You can see it as if you're looking inwards of the disc from the side, you can see the bulge in the centre, that's the core of the galaxy

I'm talking about the visual appeal not the scientific appeal, there's nothing awesome about a false coloured image cos it's... false coloured.

It's not false coloured, mek you moron, it's taking in the light in those forms of radiation and converting them to colours we can see, if we could see them.

yeah well if you took a photo and removed all the visible wavelengths then you'd have a fucking black picture
