If you have been around awhile you know this I'm sure...I just figured it out today..OK so I'm slow!

So you want to snipe on Karkand but you wish you could see farther, yep that danged fog!

This morning I grabbed the M24 and went prone on the side of the hill at the right side artillery, started looking for anyone I could make out to snipe.

Then I got to noticeing all these muzzle flashes in the distance, well I noticed these before but this time I took a closer look.

If you look closely the muzzle flash will illuminate them even if it is very slightly. So I started watching where I saw the last flash and when they fired again boom head shot!

Then I noticed the flashes that were too far to illuminate there head I could still esstimate where there head was and boom got some more head shots!

This was really fun and I was glad the light bulb came on and I figured it out. lol

Sorry if this has been posted I did a search on muzzle flashes but didn't see it, but I could have missed it.

Nope, I don't think that anyone has mentioned the muzzle flash before, but it is an excellent thing to aim for.

On certian maps you can see the muzzle flash of various weapons quite a bit farther than you can actually see the target itself.  Stand off from various flashes is a skill that is well worth perfecting in my opinion.

But I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the minigun so take that with a grain of salt, or a box of salt for that matter.

I use muzzleflashes to get headshots past the fog.  Works nicely I have to add, as they have a difficult time figuring out where it came from, as you're still mostly out of draw distance/covered in the fog (Unless you take more shots yourself, exposing you with Your muzzleflash)
