I'm not sure if my mouse is about to die or some sort of issue with windows but

since about 3 days ago my mouse has been locking up for just a few seconds and it would continue until i get a bluescreen.
i checked the mouse cord and i found a small opening and I taped it but the bluescreen is still happening.

I'm hoping it is just the mouse so it can be an easy solution.

spec:
CPU: Q6600 2.4ghz
MOBO: P5Q Deluxe
RAM: OCZ 4GB
GPU: ATI HD4890
PSU: Cosair 520HX

mouse: Razer diamondback
this is the report i'm getting after the bluescreen

have you tried a different mouse?  generally that would be pretty amazing for a mouse to cause that kind of thing...

Computer mice don't cause BSODs, at least they shouldn't. Sounds like an actual hardware issue to me - write down the error code you get from the BSOD because this error report doesn't seem to contain anything that I can do research on your issue.

The mouse locking up is because the actual computer is probably locking up.

Did you try deleting the drivers/software for your old mouse, and reinstalling them?
